Signal 1: Access needs direction
The next AI opportunity is not just another tool. It is helping your people use the tools well. Gallup's July 2026 workplace research links stronger employee engagement with clear AI expectations, an integration plan and active manager support. That association does not prove a productivity gain, but it gives leaders a practical starting point.
Show employees which work AI can support, what a good result looks like and who can help them get there.
Signal 2: Make the permitted path practical
The All-In panel also argues that enterprise access and security can hold adoption back. Their commentary points to an actionable question: have you made the approved way of working easy to follow?
Watch the discussion at 59:09 to 59:29. Full episode below.
A policy that says little more than “be careful” leaves employees guessing. A practical operating guide can say which information is permitted, which tools are approved, what requires review and where to ask for help.
Begin with low-risk work and make the boundary clear.
Signal 3: Measure your own team
Microsoft reported revenue of about $198.3 billion in fiscal 2022 and $331.8 billion in fiscal 2026. Full-time headcount was approximately 221,000 and 223,000 at the respective year-ends.
Those figures do not isolate AI's contribution or prove that AI caused the revenue change.
Your team needs a closer measure: completion time, accuracy, customer response, rework and the decisions that still need human judgment.
Executive Note
The next useful step is within reach. Give one team a clear workflow, practical training, appropriate access and a way to report what is working.
The Enterprise Move
Write down the permitted tools and data.
Train on a real recurring task.
Name the reviewer and escalation route.
Measure the finished work, not the number of prompts.
Examples in this issue are hypothetical, and nothing here describes a customer result.
