You have the same 24 hours in a day as Jensen Huang. The useful question is what you can accomplish with them.
Welcome to The Ambition Advantage, a special 14-edition series connecting the week’s AI stories to decisions you can make in your own business.
The story
BG2’s October 15 conversation with Jensen Huang asks whether AI revenue can justify infrastructure spending. The official episode description also highlights power constraints and NVIDIA’s view that demand extends beyond two AI labs. Those are questions and perspectives from the episode, not proof that every dollar of AI investment will earn an adequate return.
Give your own AI spending a job
For a business owner, the practical question is straightforward: which completed piece of work earns back the time and money you put into AI?
A faster draft has value when it helps you deliver something useful. If it creates more material for someone else to repair, the apparent saving can disappear.
My recommendation is to run a small test on a recurring deliverable. Choose something with a clear finish line: a reviewed customer proposal, a usable meeting brief, or a checked weekly report.
Record the time it normally takes. Then complete the same kind of work with AI, including your review and corrections. Compare the finished results against the same quality standard.
Baseline: minutes required for an acceptable result without AI.
AI workflow: all minutes spent preparing inputs, generating, checking, and correcting.
Net time recovered: baseline minus the AI workflow.
Direct cost: any incremental software or usage charges.
Next use: the specific work you will do with the recovered time.
Keep capacity separate from cash. Recovering an hour does not automatically reduce payroll or create revenue. It creates an opportunity to put that hour to better use.
Your 10X action
Choose one recurring task and run this experiment three times over the next week. Keep the tool budget fixed. Look for a repeatable improvement in the finished work.
Copy this prompt
Help me test whether AI improves this workflow: [task]. First ask for my baseline, required inputs, quality standard, and constraints. Propose a small comparison using similar work. Track preparation, execution, review, corrections, and direct cost separately. Report observed results separately from estimates. Do not assume recovered time becomes revenue.
Reply with the task you chose and the result you will measure.
